Bluetooth audio in OSX Lion

+1 on Philips SHB 6110 stereo headset on MBP 2009. Previously worked flawlessly with Snow Leopard - now only intermittently and only in mono... I can often trigger the problem after sleep mode, seems to me the culprit could be the blued proces...

Same problem here. S305 will connect initially but once I attempt to use any type of sound I get the aforementioned error message. Annoying bug that is causing me to change my workflow. Glad to see it's not just my problem. Thanks.

I filed a bug report at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html

All of you should do the same to help bring it to Apple's attention.

Is anyone else seeing any errors in the Console? Mine isn't logging any errors that I can tell.

thanks for ur advice. I also sent an Bug-Report 1 minute ago. I think, the much more people report this issue, the bigger is the chance that Apple recognice this.

I am unable to get anything happening with iChat, FaceTime, Skype, etc with Lion.

Same problem here with the Apple Bluetooth Headset.

I normally use it with iSoftPhone VOIP application and it worked fine in Snow Leopard. Now I just get locking up of the application and the error.

Can someone post really minutiate-laden specific steps? I have been using mono headsets just fine on Lion, so I wonder what the difference is? I have the same models as some of you, too.

when this occurs, what is the "Play Sound effects through" popup (in Sound->SoundEffects pref pane) set to?

do you get the same type of interruptions if playing audio in iTunes, for example? if so, when the interruptions occur, what happens if you stop playback in iTunes for 5 seconds, and then start it again? does it sound good or is it still interrupted?

My Sound settings had "Selected sound output device" for sound effects. I changed it internal speakers, re-paired the Plantronics 520, rechecked the Sound pane and the result was the same as my original post.

Sorry, I am totally new to the mac world although I am using iphones ever since the launched in 2007, but I just purchased my first mac last month an imac 27" i7. After reading the comments in this forum I was very much worried about the performace of bluetooth headsets with os lion. But ordered a Sony DR-BT 160AS bluethooth headset because I don't want to use a USB headset and want to keep everything wireless. I just received my headset today and paired it with my imac which is running OSX 10.7.0 aka Lion and to my surprise the headset works like charm. It took me three attempts to make them working but that was my fault as I was not sure about the process but now they are working fine. I am very happy with my purchase.

Yep...I have the Plantronics 510 and it used to work great on skype in leopard. Now I get crappy audio (cuts in and out all the time...hard to follow a conversation). Could it be that Apple willfully made skype unusable now that Microsoft owns it? Do your headsets work ok on other apps?
