URLs with type file is not supported

URLs with type file are not supported? Keep having this window pop up after installing lion...

That is odd as your machine seems to fit the description below...


According to Apple, these are the models that will work with AirDrop

  • MacBookPro (Late 2008 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2010 or newer)
  • MacBook (Late 2008 or newer)
  • iMac (Early 2009 or newer)
  • Mac Mini (Mid 2010 or newer)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2009 with AirPort Extreme card, or Mid 2010)



PS- i'm bummed it does not work on my 07 iMac

This was in reference to the error message that I kept getting about a problem connecting with the server and URLS not be supported. If you look at 7th comment in this thread, JRenter took a picture of the error pop-up window. I have not seen it since I went into time machine preferences and turned it off. Hope this helps!
