I've been having the same issue. It comes up in twos, and it only started after installing OS X Lion. No URL is listed when this error appears. It's just an error window and the only option is to press "Ok"
Thanks community...I followed the "time machine-off" discussion and that seemed to fix my problem. Much appreciated!!
And what issue might that be? Remember, you can take a screen capture with Shift ⌘ 4 and upload it.
New Problem...no "airdrop"...when I spotlight airdrop I get nothing......does that mean I don't have it? Ugh!!! Not in Finder sidebar so can't check anything and scrolling to top of finder directory proves fruitless... Am I "airdropless"?.......GRRRRRR! (2009 Mac Notebook)
I'm having the same problem. Is anyone having any success diagnosing it?
I'm also having the same problem
I am having this issue as well. Quite annoying.
That is odd as your machine seems to fit the description below...
According to Apple, these are the models that will work with AirDrop
PS- i'm bummed it does not work on my 07 iMac

Hi,
Can you please advise on exactly which thread you are referring to please?
Thanks
John
This was in reference to the error message that I kept getting about a problem connecting with the server and URLS not be supported. If you look at 7th comment in this thread, JRenter took a picture of the error pop-up window. I have not seen it since I went into time machine preferences and turned it off. Hope this helps!
Ok understood ....but hopefully someone in Apple will fix this?
thx
John
I am having the same problem. I have not used time machine since installing Lion, so I don't think this probem is related to time machine. Is there any solution?
I am having the same issue. I wonder if it is an issue with 'time machine'? I noticed the time machine icon turning each time the error message popped up. Just grabbing at straws here (:
