I have a Canon Selphy CP800 and it's quite important to me. Canon have not updated the drivers on their website yet and Apple don't list the CP800 as a compatibile printer. Has anyone actually upgraded to Lion and tried the 10.6 drivers for this or any other Selphy?
I'm holding off the Lion upgrade until I know that all my stuff is supported (take note whingers and whiners).
Any insight appreciated.

For me the provided driver-installer does not work in Lion, I get an error message during installation
No idea if it would keep on working if you already have it installed prior to upgrading

Thanks for your effort here. I was kinda thinking that I would do a fresh install of Lion rather than an upgrade, so you've answered my question. Guess I'll have to wait for Canon to step up and release some drivers.

I would wait for word from Canon that they have a supported driver-installer for Lion. I also received the error message trying to install the Selphy CP800 driver-installer from the disc in the box. I also checked on the Canon site and they do not list a 10.7 supported driver-installer yet.
Ok, after an additional test I see that if you already have the Selphy CP800 application and driver installed on Snow Leopard and then UPGRADE to Lion it still works.
As stated above, the Selphy CP800 driver-installer does not install on Lion 10.7 but if it was already installed on Snow Leopard it still works after the 10.7 upgrade.
Can i manualy copy the CP800-driver from my 10.6-backup to Lion?

I have a CP780, and as of mid-August 2011, Canon has not supplied any drivers that work on Lion.
Yep. Using an MP250 and a CP750 (Selphy) no problem.
Lawrence I'm trying to use the Selphy CP760 with Lion, but using the MP250 it doesn't work. I did receive error 331 (?)
I'm searching for CP750 driver but I can't find it...

I asked Canon support. They are currently Implementing Lion support. Really bad of Canon as they could have started half a year ago, when the first developer preview of Lion arrived. They told me to hold on...
Why not just use the sd slot on the printer. That is what I do
A little inconvienient. Before Lion, I could print directly from my iPhone through Fingerprint and now I should use an SD card?!?
Would be better for Canon to make this new driver Lion ready!

This would suggest the possibility of a manual install extracting the printer files from the various library areas (in root and user directory), no? Trying it now w/out success yet...
