Saving illustrator CS5 files in Mac OSX Lion makes the app to crash

dang, that's a tough one. The clean install would have flushed your prefs, but it's option-command-shift

but don't go back, instead install SL on an external and work from that until you find a fix for Lion, then u won't have to upgrade again in the future.

I have a time capsule with a external harddrive connected via usb; same problem though when files are stored directly on the time capsule. Airport glitch of some sort maybe?

Anyone able to save over network yet in illustartor and Lion?

Have just tested Ill-5.0

Saved & Saved As over ethernet through router to server (Dual G5)- No Problem

Saved & Saved As over WiFi to studio upstairs to a 2010 iMac No Problem.

Changed graphics and print. All OK

Not an answer I know but this system works.

Main machine is an 8Core MacPro with 8Gb Ram- Dual Displays with Lion.

So far (Figers crossed) all my Adobe and Apple pro software running 100%.

Have done 3 installations with zero errors.Lucky? or Due dilgence in preparation?

Both I think. But I will keep pushing these programs around to see what comes up and

will post back.

Well... at least you still have something. I have older versions of Adobe software, like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and so forth.... and Lion Moved them because they are not supported! Can't even (#^(#^$(#$&#^$ use them anymore! Lost all capability... and cannot even open them to work on projects I was working on for WORK!

Not to mention the scroller on my mouse is inverted... up is down... and who knows what else since I have just completely had a meltdown over losing VALUABLE SOFTWARE AND FILES. With absolutely NO warning or pre=posted statements that this would happen.

COMPLETE DISASTER. Want this Lion **** OFF!!!!!!!!

I'm also having the same problem in Lion - Illustrator CS5 crashes on file/save and now Photoshop CS5 is doing the same thing! I've tried clearing the preferences, repairing permissions and re-installing CS5 Suite with no results. I'm working on files via a Time Capsule connected via Ethernet. The 2 other Macs in the office which are also running CS5 but have Snow Leopard installed are fine. This wouldn't be such an issue if I could easily roll back to Snow Leopard from the DVD, but I can't even do that!

Apple, Adobe or somebody, HELP!

So there has been a Lion update released... Has anyone done the update and have the problem fixed?

Any takers on upgrading to lion and installing the update to see if the issue has been resolved? 🙂

Anyone else get a chance to test this issue with the updated lion?

Still getting the same Illustrator crash when saving, even after installing the latest Lion update. I'm having to work locally for all Illustrator documents until (if) there's a fix :/
