I use pages for my work invoices and have a pretty comprehensive filing for previous invoices. The omission of 'save as' in the lion version of pages is extremely frustrating. Is there a work around? Will they fix this in the future or should I switch to a microsoft excel worksheet?

Even more important, what if you want to save a file in a different file type, such as saving a Numbers spreadsheet as Excel. You can't do that with Duplicate. You have to use Save As...!
Option click the file menu, Save As is still there.
You have articulated my frustration with Save a Stupid Version eloquently. Thank you.
The easiest solution is just press Option, and Save As will appear. It's another key stroke, but you can't fight city hall.
Thanks for the tip. I should have guessed. There seems to be more and more of this menu item stupidity from Apple. It's nice of them to provide a keystoke to undo their crass changes though.

I am glad I'm not the only person that does not remember things... like the PDF article covered in notes in my hand writing of which I have no recollection..
