I wasn't agrueing. This is evident and the reason why I said "I could be wrong..." and stated that, purely for the fact I had no idea if Siri would run on A4 or anyother iOS device and was unaware of any videos showing such ability.

Just for mediation purposes, I found a usefull study of "Arguemention Theroy" and thought it might be helpful. I don't wish to prolong this discussion further as it has been shown that I was mistaken in my statement and humbly admit that as well as allowed for such lack of knowlege in that statement. The first sentence in the following link I felt was most relavent in that study but we certainly don't want to argue and I feel that is esentially what I was concerned about. I don't want others to view my comments as arguemenative. Thanks as well for bringing my attention to how I clearify my statements. Which I think may have been what Marvin was eluding to. I welcome and appreciate constructive critacism. 🙂

If you've read any of the last 100 replies of this thread, you'll note that there's lots of them linking to sources that currently have Siri running on other devices aside from the 4S. A simple read through of any of the last 100 replies could've told you that.Not trying to be rude or to argue, just saying.

Thanks Kiaser for posting the new video on voice action. Whats most interesting is the price he says the app is selling for in the app store is$3.99 but it's actually $4.99 maybe when he looked it up it was that price. One reviewer even said he was so unhappy he wants his $2.99 back. There seem to be a lot of unhappy users that have posted reviews. One reviewer complained that it won't send texts when you tell it to and several other features that are available on Siri but not on voice actions. But what do people expect. Apple worked with the makers of Siri to integrate the features of the iPhone and this, I would imagine takes a lot of time and effort to implement such a powerful software program to work as well as siri seems to with iPhone. I do feel however asking such an obviously inflated price is out of the question in my book especially when its so far from what Siri can do. If they made the ability to send texts I would find this most beneficial purely from a safety standpoint as I feel there are far too many people using their phones behind the wheel and siri I think has the opportunity to revolutionize the industry such as using the phone with a hands free device for example.

This is almost the same as when the iP4 got Voice Control, but older iOS 4 devices didn't. The whiners and ranters demanded, but did not receive...

In the case of Siri, Apple is providing a vast new service with a huge farm of servers that cost hundreds of millions of dollars for free. To add all the other iOS 5 devices, Apple would have to greatly expand the server base, at a huge expense.

Tell me, when you buy a new car and next years model looks the same but has a great new feature, do you demand that your car be updated for free? (In your case, probably yes!)

Wrong! Siri requires many hundreds of millions of dollars worth of servers to operate. It's very hardware and volume intensive. The "software" in the phone is a minute tip of the iceberg.

As far as Apple selling Siri, that is conceivable, but entirely their choice. The bottom line is that you have no entitlement to demand that from them. If you want to suggest it:

As far as the hacked Siri, hackers by definition are trying to steal or use that what they're not entitled to. Your reference to them only reveals your dishonest nature. And, don't think Apple won't be cleaver enough to detect hacked devices accessing Siri servers.
