Siri is not working AT ALL on new iphone 4s. Anyone else having trouble?

iPhone 4s arrived by mail today. Turned on Siri via Settings/General. Asking REALLY simple questions like "What is the weather?" and Siri has not responded ONCE with an answer other than:

"What was that again?"

"Sorry, something's gone wrong. Can you try that agan?"

"Sorry, I didn't get that."

"Uh oh. Something's wrong. Can you try again?"

SO frustrating and disappointing. The microphone doesn't seem like the problem, as it is able to record audio elsewhere.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue with Siri?

I'm having the same problem. Siri was barely working at all earlier (which led me to believe the "s" actually stood for "slow) and now Siri responds to every request with "there is a problem." My experience was nothing at all like the Apple commercials depict nor the technology columnists write about.

Siri must use the same awful network server AT&T is using for activations. My friend is going on 8 hours waiting for activation to occur- and after being "helped" by AT&T has no working phone. My iPhone 4S just recently activated after a 7.5 hour wait.

No point in calling Apple about Siri not working or anything else- calling their tech support line returns a prerecorded message saying they aren't taking any calls. And AT&T? They are only capable of telling you to keep waiting.

Neither the phone nor the service were free. And I can't even get so much as a "I'm sorry" from Apple or AT&T. In this economy both companies should be doing everything they can to make their customers happy.

Never even considered an Android phone and have been an AT&T customer for 4 years. If these issues aren't resolved by noon Saturday- 24 hours after they started- I will no longer be an iPhone owner.

Problems with Siri are due to "network congestion?" Hmm...so what happens when more people attempt to use what was promoted as the hallmark feature of the new phone? What is Apple using that supposed server farm in North Carolina for? You would think maybe they could fill it with more than surplus Apple stickers- like maybe a few servers to deliver on the services they promote.

Not working for me either.

It tries and then gives up.

Things I've tried:

- I've asked Siri: What is today? (and many other simple questions)

- I've tried using the mike in a text message, it worked earlier, but since then has always come back with nothing (after showing the flashing dots)

- Tried a)-disabling, b)-rebooting, c)-re-enabling. No change.

- Nothing about Siri is working for me.

It's probably network congestion, but I'd love to see some confirmation that Apple knows and is doing something.
