Siri is not working AT ALL on new iphone 4s. Anyone else having trouble?

iPhone 4s arrived by mail today. Turned on Siri via Settings/General. Asking REALLY simple questions like "What is the weather?" and Siri has not responded ONCE with an answer other than:

"What was that again?"

"Sorry, something's gone wrong. Can you try that agan?"

"Sorry, I didn't get that."

"Uh oh. Something's wrong. Can you try again?"

SO frustrating and disappointing. The microphone doesn't seem like the problem, as it is able to record audio elsewhere.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue with Siri?

Mine didn't work all weekend. I have a feeling its a "iCloud" issue. I really like it when it worked but hate "speaking to it" when driving only to find out it won't work I wish Apple would just tell us they are having an issue and they are working on it. Having no-clue what it is or when it will be fixed is not great customer service.

Ok, I spoke to Apple, yesterday. They told me that Siri is only BETA and that it shouldn't be expected to be fully functional. However, they think it is because of the server having issues and have suggested that they will need to collect some diagnostics information over the next couple of days. Can't imagine why Apple think it's ok to advertise a product as the best iphone yet and then abrogate all responsibillity when it doesn't work. I must confess to feeling a bit ripped off!

I kept reading that all you had to do was enable Siri, and it would work. Once I push the home button it will follow prompts. If I get a new message, I have to ask her to read the message. I thought if you had Siri on, and your settings to voice feedback "always" it would read your messages automatically? Also, she seems to ready everyone's messages out loud, except for 1 person, anyone else having similar issues?

Hello,

Today morning Siri started giving me similar response . I tried the tips mentioned on this forum but nothing has helped .

I am from India , I have upgraded my 4S to 5.0.1

Everyday I am facing all new challenges right from day 1 . I haved used iPhone 4 and using iPad2 .

1. Poor Battery Life

2. 3G signal drop

3. Suddenly call drop and inability to send SMS abruptly

4. Siri Not working

5. Location based reminders not working properly

I think , we all may need to wait for a long to get solutions for these problems .

siri is not working, and the update did nothing but change my battery life for the worse. my reminders will not let me add any new lists, and formerly working apps (radar showing weather) are no longer working. what's up with this update? it killed my functionality. i have turned off location services for all but siri, and changed the automatic time settings to no avail.

there should be a remedy, and quickly.

STarting yesterday, I have not been able to use both Siri and the dictation feature on my new iPhone 4S. This is not the first time. Very frustrating. I believed apple made quality products, but I am very disappointed. Poor batter quality, inability to use the advertised primary features makes this phone useless. Why put location based reminders when it drains the battery do bad? Why have Siri when it doesn't work half of the time?

I am regretting getting this phone.
