iOS5 bugs (iPod Touch 4G)

iPod Touch 4G updated to iOS 5. Cover Flow is very slow and laggy, Youtube and Facebook (already updated for iOS 5) are laggy too. But most of all the homescreen sometimes freezes for a few seconds after unlocking the display. Finally the device is in general slower than before (iOS 4.3.5).

Is someone experiencing the same issues?

Please help .

Hey! Finally someone who is as annoyed by this glitch as I am. Yes I noticed the 'Slide to Cancel' lock screen was taken away, big no-no man.

Just wanna know if the same thing happened to your songs? Like in the songs tab, do you get songs which are arranged in the correct alphabetical list but the 2nd letters of the title and etc aren't taken into consideration? I have some pretty messed up sort orders now :S

Hey, no man I checked and I get the alphabetical order right, with the other letters taken in consideration. But I do have other problems regarding Artists names:

I get some repeated Artists and when I change them in iTunes they won't sync, so I'm stuck with repetead artists. But in iTunes they show correctly. Weird.

And as they said on top of me, I get the Album Artist instead of the Artist tag, when in Music Settings I chose not to order by Album Artist. So that's pretty weird too.

I don't care if other apps crash, the Music App should run smoothly as always, that's why its an iPod! :S

Haha, you do realise that the 'they' who said on top of you is me right? Lol. But YES. The new OS doesn't recognise changes in lyric info, artist, WHATEVER. INFINITELY IRRITATING! I'm seriously considering a restore and return to 4.3.5 now... It's possible right?

LOL sorry mate. I think you can go back but its not as easy as I thought, I'm looking for tutorials lol

@Evan21437 I realized that, of course. The bug I'm talking about is when I modify something in iTunes it doesn't sync. Before, when we had the Syncing Screen, I never experienced a problem like this. That's why I thought maybe it had something to do with this new feature.

I have experienced many of the same issues as others on this thread. In fact, the other night trying to play an album I purchased from iTunes, the iPod touch wouldn't play any tracks from that album and some other albums would! Seen most of the other bugs listed out here and am pretty frustrated. Have tried resetting my iPod a few times and the bugs persist. I REALLY hate the pauses/lags when launching apps, sliding to unlock and the like - almost like the iPod is dumb-founded as what I would like it to do. Come on, Apple. Get a fix out soon!

I'm having the same problems as alx, especially with my iPod not syncing correctly to the changes made when connected to iTunes. I have to remove the songs that I want to modify and then transfer them back, otherwise the iPod won't recognize any of the changes that were made. This is extremely frustrating and will take a while to get used to.

I also experience a noticeable delay in unlocking the screen, although this only seems to happen when I first start using my iPod for the day.

Man, the changes don't even stick when I do that! (remove from iPod and re-transfer through iTunes with changes applied) This is the ultimate in frustrating man.

This happens to me too but it seems the unlocking gets faster the more apps I've been running in the day. But after a while, the unlocking is laggy again.

Aside from these, anyone have this problem where after songs changed while you're running other apps, and you return to the music app, the screen will display the song played last before you opened the other app and then jump to the current track playing?

Have you also applied the same changes to your iTunes library as well? If you only modify the track info in your iPod, remove them, and then transfer the same files back to your iPod, then you're not making any modifications at all. I caught onto this rather slowly when I noticed that each of the albums for a band was separated into different genres on my iPod. I merged all of the albums into one genre (in the iTunes Library) and then transferred them back to the iPod.
