iOS5 bugs (iPod Touch 4G)

I asked if I could exchange my iPod

today since there was still a few days

of warranty left but I was told that only

covered hardware faults as my problems

fell under software faults.

I'd be happy if apple just acknowledged

this problem existed in the first place.

wow i am so * sadly* relieved other people are having the same issues. My husband said it was oporator error, the guy at appl esaid " your ipod is currupt, let me reset it and then go home wipe your itunes start over the problem should be fine" well i had all of one 3 hours with noe problems then it all came back. Apps wont open, wont shut off/ turn on right, randomly shuts down ! I COULD THROW THE DANG THING! And of course it was a gift from a family member who is no longer around so i cant get the reciept and online is says they verify the product warrenty BUT i get no services. I have tried all the trouble shoots on the website, and i am gettin NO RELIEF. My husbands 3 gn runs better then mine does. This is not right HELP!!!

And i also have a sollution to go back to ios 4.3.5

I don't want to downgrade to iOS 4.XXX, but a good iOS 5.1 for the iPod touch. On my iPhone 3GS also with 256MB of ram, iOS 5.1 is very smooth and fast. Why is the 5.1 update on the iPod touch 4G so terrible? I don't know if anybody from Apple read these discussions, but if so: Apple, You got to do something about these iOS 5.1 issue for the iPod touch.

Ive noticed that too.

I tested my ipod touch 4G with iOS 5.1

against my friends iphone 3GS running 5.1

and had no crashing issues.

I did think was very odd since they both have

256mg of ram.

Am so disappointed in Apple and this most recent update. None of my album artwork is showing on my purchased songs on my iTouch, eventhough they are in my iTunes, and most of my artwork is missing from my albums. Most of my playlists have disappeared, eventhough they appear on my iTunes when I plug in my iTouch and can see them there on the drop down menu. I'm tempted to restore my iTouch but reading all the above posts it doesn't seem as if there is any point. What was a brilliant working device has now turned into something I hardly want to use 😟

Mine has been doing the same thing as well, and I'm really frustrated with what is happening I just bought this ipod last Tuesday. I spent all of this money on this Apple product for it not to work. I changed the names of the song on Itunes but they will not show up the right way on my ipod touch 4g.

Same thing with me. I have been to the Apple store 4 times and am on my third ipod. I am currently troubleshooting it with apps. Have you figured it out?

I've had three different ipods, all with the same problem, and it all started after ios5. I'm assuming its software. I am troubleshooting all the apps I use currently.

Waste of time, its poor memory management, basically your 4g or 3g will just crash to the springboard whenever it see's fit 😮

New Ipad also has memory issues on 5.1 so ipod touch has no chance with mobile store being the culprit on my last 4 crashes.

this is terrible! apple need to get their finger out there a** and fix this ipod touch issues! its clear they are preety bad! i just got mine 2 weeks ago and soooo upset i upgraded to iOS5! looking to sell it by may. joke is people laugh at android lagging and its happening right here lol. anyway they need to wake up.

it is not caused by ios 5, but by some bug, which contains springboard app. I also have this problem on my iPod touch 4G-SB freezes after unlock, laggy cover flow...So it will lag until the guyz from apple will remove this issue.

We can only wait for the update which will fix this Bug in SpringBoard, perhaps it will be..
