Hi guys,
I'm having an odd issue. I just bought three ringtones direct on my iPhone 4S from the iTunes 'Tones' section, and when I set them as ringtones and preview them on the phone they sound really crappy. When I previewed them in the 'Tones' section and streamed them the sound was full and clear. Any ideas?

Thanks for getting back Gabrielle, sadly they weren't free. They were 99p each, official tracks from iTunes Tones, Dollar, Paradise and Louder. They sounded really clear when I previewed them, then after downloading them it seems the quality dropped significantly, so much so that I wouldn't want to use them as ringtones because they just sond annoying.
iOS 10. The problem still not fixed ((
10.0.2, and the problem is still present. I've just BOUGHT 2 ringtones in iTunes and both of them sounds like sh*t if I want to use them as a ringtone. As "text message sound" they sound just perfect. Dear Apple, would you FIX this???
iiOS 10.0.2 the bug is still there. COME ON Apple this is RIDICULOUS!!
Hello, I have brand new iPhone 6s (2016 wersion) and the newest iOS 10.1 and I'm still having this issue.
Please Apple, fix this. I have expensive phone with ****** ringtone sound quality. It's uncool.

Try and synchronize them on computer with iTunes !
After they appear in Itunes as synced to library the sound quality will be better on device ....
i used Fone Trans app, trial, to sync folder to iTunes library , then did the rest from iTunes .
Only issue i found is that , from 54 ringtones , it takes only 40 that accumulate 20minutes , but that's ok !

Doesn't work for me.
I have all my ringtones sinced up with my iTunes. I'm syncing those with an iPhone, then uncyncing (uncheck them) and then again syncing up and all ringtones stays in the same poor quality. On a computer though they sounds identically as full mp3 song.
The problem persists even it is July 2017. First time bought a ringtone in the Store $1.25 CAD, previewed perfectly, bought it, try it, garbage, not going to use, money gone wasted!
iPhone 6S, iOS 10 and it's still a problem. Seriously.
Ringtone bought in iTunes store sounds great on the store, same as a Text tone, but rubbish as a Ring tone!
