*5005...

**5005...

*#5005..

None of these codes works.

@Apple : I do not need visual voicemail. I simply want to have a button to reach my voicemail, like I had on all my cell phones in the last 14 years. Motorola, Ericsson, Ericsson, Nokia, SonyEricsson, Nokia - they all one. It was the '1'.

Please let me assign my voicemail number to the voicemail button. Please.

... and by the way: This thread has 17523views. It seems that fritsn and I are not the only ones.

This is a very simple issue for Apple on why we can not program our "Voice Mail" button on the iPhone 4S, to dial the correct Voice Mail number for our particular carrier.

This has gone unresolved for more than 3 months now.

OK This thread has been running for 3 months now since I started it.

It is quite obvious at this point that this is an important issue for many iPhone owners, but Apple has totally failed to take any steps to rectify it.

Actually they don't give a ****. We already know that they disabled the old code that worked on previous iPhones phones, and are now providing this functionality by way of a "Carrier Bundle" which must be downloaded from your carrier. Problem is that most of the carriers do not know this.

What I can not understand is how the people from Apple that read these threads have not chimed in to officially confirm that this is indeed the case.

In 3 months, nobody from Apple has come forward and tried to explain this, or offer to solve our problem in any manner.

This is very poor customer service in my opinion. This is actually not like Apple who usually makes a concerted effort to rectify these kind of issues.

I think that everyone on this thread should now start to e-mail directly to Tim Cook.

Maybe he will pay some attention to this issue.

If we do not have an official answer from Apple in the next 48 hours then we should try to publicize this to as many of the Apple blogs as possible so that it will get some recognition as a legitimate issue that needs to be solved.

Hear, hear!

And not only this.... Apple seems to be to proud on its own product design, that it forgets to listen to its customers. They became to arrogant because of the good reviews and praise they get from press and customers. That stopped them from listening to more demanding customers that use their devices on the edge of their capabilities.

A few more iPhone wishes from me:

- Better bluetooth support for carkits with combined AD2P and Headset profile

- Bluetooth menu always accesible on the same place as the Airplay button now is

- Cellular usage report call time split in Sent and Received

- SMS usage report in Sent and Received

- SMS delivery reports

- Call forwarding split in 1. Always (*21*), 2. If not answered (*61*), 3. If unreachable (*62*), 4. If Busy (*67*)

- Separate access to SIM contact list

... and a few more, but let me keep the list short here.....

Note that the last five items are standard in even the cheapest Nokia Symbian phones.

What is Tim Cooks voicemail?
