how to register with iMessage?

On my iPhone I can text to any cell phone number

Can I not do the same with my iPad ?

I cant activate mine too.. It sstaes that unable to verify email because it is in use. The email input should be the same as the itunes email right?

Go into Settings>iMessage and turn iMessage on.

I feel like a noob asking this, but you can only text Apple devices using iMessage right? And if so, then downloading that SMS Rage Fac App would seem obsolete and slightly futile DX

Right. You can simply add either their e-mail addresses or phone numbers and you can instantly send texts.

IMassege will work on IOS 5 only

So basically iMessege is only useful between Apple devices with a register Apple ID?
