Ipod Nano 1st Gen. Replacement - status/follow up?

I submitted a replacement request on 11/13 and immediately received an email confirmation. Since then I haven't heard anything, when I check the status it days"diagnosis pending", is there anyway to follow up?

Hi, I found my old ipod nano 1st gen and was searching on how to replace the battery and came across the recall. I put in my serial number and they said I would get a box to send in my ipod nano.

Now my real question is : What if my ipod nano isn't working. Or if I opened it up and then put it back together in order to figure out if an extra battery I had would work . Would I still be eligible once they recieve my ipod?

Just wanted to give my input on the entire process of sending in the Ipod Nano for replacement.

Requested a box from Apple on Saturday(5/18/2013)

Recieved prepaid box from Apple on Monday(5/20/13)

Shipped Ipod Nano out to Apple the same day

Apple receives Nano on Tuesday(5/21/13)

Nano gets processed and replaced. Get an email Wednesday night that the Nano is being shipped Fedex with Signature Delivery.(5/22/13)

Recived Nano at 1PM Thursday(5/23/12)

So, less than a week and I have a "new" Ipod Nano, 6th Gen with 8GB capacity.

I have to say, I am VERY pleased with Apple.

Thank you!
