Why does it say "if you have a personalized unit, you will get a non-personalized unit back?
Oh, if it's engraved, we're not able to re-engrave the iPod.
Why would you need to re-engrave it?
We offer a free engraving service for all new iPod purchases at Apple.com.
So, if you are just going to replace the battery, why would you need to replace the back?

No, but that is good news, because my nano had a broken screen, and was pretty banged up. Will the replacement come with new earbuds/cable?

They'll be just like new, but with a 90 day warranty.
So when you say "just like new", I'm assuming that means it's refurbished?
- Oh no, it's an all new iPod.
- We rebuilt them with the new battery.
- Did you really have that many in stock?
- Or were you somehow able to restart the production?
- I'm sure we had to remake a few, but I really wouldn't be the one to ask. AppleCare would know better than I.

How would I contact apple care if i don't know the new unit's serial number, and the old one is out of warranty?
- They can take your replacement request number.
- And check on it all that way.
Why did the box take so long to get to me?
We just had a lot to send out. To be honest, I didn't even get mine yet.

- I really don't know! They may have had to build a few of them.
