ipod nano recall - time to respond from apple

I input all the information for the nano recall in Apple's website, but it is just sitting there. I've heard others got their new nanos already, but we haven't even received a box to send the old one in yet. It's been 16 days. There doesn't seem to be a way to contact Apple to find out what the timeline is or if my case just got stuck in no man's land.

Anyone else waiting a long time for a response?

I called apple last week, and wa actually able to talk to a rep pretty quickly.

I told him that I had sent my ipod back about a month ago and that the staus still just shows "empty Box Sent" he said there were so many of these thinsg beingreturned hat hey are not able o keep up- VERY BELIVEABLE!

He said give it 6--8 weeks or so after I shiped and call again.

I really am not impressed with the ipods that they are using to replace with, but I had long since upgraded from the Nana I returned I wont complain!

Got my replacement today (1/10) in Seattle, WA after submitting a request back in November. Sixth-generation Nano, silver, looks like it might even be new. Screen and case both appear to be free from scratches and scuffs. So despite a bit of a wait and spotty communication, I can't really complain, getting a new (or like-new) Nano to replace an aging 1G.

i'm from the Philippines. I personally brought my ipod nano to Power Mac, the authorized service center here. at first i was informed that it will ony take 6 weeks. then I came back and I was told that it will take up to 2 months. after 2 months I came back and was told that it will take up to 6 months. but that's not certain yet. it can take longer than that. the reason is that they are having difficulties looking for a replacement battery. and you guys got a 6th gen ipod nano? I envy you.
