Updated with che combo update (download from apple/downloads, not from software update). it's all ok, everything seems to work fine.

@ iMasterus: This is my situation.....have you updated your MBA with Software updates? Is all ok?? I'm on 10.7.2 yet....but i want update with software update if Apple has fixed.....

Even with the error I showed before, after rebooting my mac is working.

Hope it will last.

I've updated my MBA now with software update....all Ok!!!!

All I could say is I had to boot off another drive. Download combo update, install on the drive that won't update. Run verification and repair disc permissions. Worked flawless for me. Good luck!!

Ok. Ran the Combo update and it worked ok.

Phew.

I have a MacBook Pro, and since the update, almost everything is crashing...

I tried downloading the combo version, and after a very slow installation, the same apps are still crashing.

What's next?

After 2 hours and more.... No luck with the reinstall.

Going to the Genius Bar tomorrow at 9:30 am.

To all the people who were working feverishly towards important deadlines and thought to themselves, now would be the perfect time to make a modification to my operating system: give your head a shake. If you don't have a backup and/or can't afford to spend a measely couple hours restoring the backup or performing a reinstall.... why would you do this?
