Once my book is uploaded, how long before it appears in iTunes?

Uploaded the book several days ago and haven't seen it yet.

I have been waiting over two months for an approval. There was an issues that I received a ticket on and after an e-mail to find out what the heck it meant, I received a no-detail mercurial response that still left me without knowing exactly what the issue was, just a repeat that there was a problem and I needed to fix it. After doing so (I think), I resubmitted and inquired again about the status. The response I got was they they were waiting to review it again and they had a "higher than expected volume of materials to review." Seriously?

This is really getting out of hand. And it's shaking my confidence in Apple. This is a big, rich company and for them to release something revolutionary that allows people to make and sell eBooks, then not step up the resources they will need for a timely approval process of the flood of books they should have seen coming is really scary and inexcusable. The ticket system for reporting issues is close to useless in detailing what issues you need to fix and when you do, you still aren't sure if the current ticket is issuing you a new problem or it's the old one.

This process is taking entirely too long and is unnecessarily convoluted. Come on, Apple, get it together. Your hubris is only tolerable when you have the goods to back it up. I'm waiting to be impressed.

kb8wfh, you are so right. It is getting out of hand.

What we need is a public shaming of those people at Apple responsible for this Situation in the ebook department. Didn't Steve Jobs gather once all the guys responsible for initial MobileMe debacle in the auditorium and told them that they should be ashamed of themselves. He should do the same thing with the eBook guys but this time put it on YouTube. ... oh wait a minute ..what .. Steve Jobs is not with us anymore ... now that could explain it.

I sent an e-mail last week to Apple asking them why my book is still in review (after several weeks just sittiing there), how long it is going to take and why it is taking so long. This is the boiler-plate useless asnwer I got back from them just now...

Apple is starting to really tick me off with their attitutues toward customers. An answer like this is "Customer No-Service." Insulting.

After 2 months I receive this ticket

Books must be of sufficient length or functionality. We encourage you to review your book concept and evaluate whether you can incorporate additional functionality, content, or both to enhance the user experience.

I guess you can take that as a rejection…

Sad that you had to wait for two months to find out.

Michi.
