Password rejected

Since yesterday, Mail has been rejecting my iCloud password, and I cannot receive mail. I can only retrieve my messages by logging into iCloud via Safari. My iCloud account information in Mail shows p04-imap.mail.me.com as the incoming mail server. It is dimmed and cannot be edited. Authentication under the Advanced tab shows Apple Token.

I notice that others have been experiencing the same problem. Is this a server issue? Any word on it being resolved?

Owllight,

Same here. Lately, say the past week or two, Mail prompts me for my iCloud password, and this almost always happens when the computer is woken from sleep. But it is not a problem like the one I described in my original post. Now when I'm prompted for a password, I either cancel the prompt or disregard it. Clicking Get Mail to re-download my messages sets things straight.

I might add that I was not able to fix my original password problem on my own. I eventually had to have an online chat with a MobileMe support person who kindly reset my password.
