Why can't I change my itunes from US to UK? everytime I enter a valid UK card I get the above error message. It *****.
Is this Apple's business to check does my credit card belong to this country or not? I may have credit cards in dfferent countries and I can use them wherever I want. I can buy salt from the market with this credit card in a completely different country but I cannot buy applications from App Store. This is ridiculous.
If it is a bug, just fix it. If it is a kind of a "security" policy, I have to say that: "it is ********!"
I am getting the same result in New Zealand.
It seems that all the people having trouble are international accounts. I haven't seen any US people who are having this problem.
I bought a new ipad last night. Looks like this problem has effected everyone who bought a new apple product yesterday. I'm dissapointed in apple. I contacted them and they said its a problem with my bank... Which it clearly is not. Used 3 different cards (including mastercard)
Good point. No one from US are reporting issues. I'm guessing that they are on a seperated system.
The best for US, leave what is left for the rest....
Same in Latvia. Loads of another card trials (Visa, MC, Amex). Nothing. Few days ago though, everything was perfect.
No, it's not "new products" alone, some of us have had iPads, iPhones and Macs for years are also affected by this.
It's putting me off purchasing the Itunes Match I was trying to buy last night, I don't fancy paying for it if it's going to just give up working when Apple decide they can't be bothered to address non-USA based issues.
I'm using Visa Debit. I had a new card issued as my other one expired, only 2 numbers changed on it and the security number obviously. It's telling me the number is wrong, not the 3 digit security code...
has anyone had any luck getting through to customer support? Please let us know what was said if you do
Both myself and my wife have had the same problem - we were trying to change credit cards details as the old ones had expired. Is this still a common problem or has the issue that started on 5th been resolved?
Same issues . . . Seems it hasn't been sorted as i've been trying since yesterday. . . You would of thought apple would of put something online about the issues!?!?!?!?

No response to online support. Managed to speak with support guy, not able to help. Definitely "international" (i.e. Non-US) problem.
Same problem in Hungary. My credit card was fine 2 days ago, now it is not accepted. Its OK to have some techical problems for a company like apple, annoying thing is they dont even tell a word about it. Not too fair, especially when its about my credit card security. Maybe someone hacked their database??

Yep, same issue here: resident in the UK with a UK Visa debit card that has been perfectly fine for the past 2 years is suddenly no longer a valid card for the United Kindgom. Problem still persisting 11:35 AM local time...
