Volume is much lower after upgrading my 4s to IOS 5.1???

I did a restore and a setup as a new phone but still only have 60% of the sound i had

Settings>general>reset>reset all settings this has fixed it for multiple people today try that its a really simple fix

the reason that restoring it doesnt fix it is when u do a back up it stores the errors in the back up so u do nothing but wase your time when you restore the phone

I have the same problem and reset all settings and no fix for me. All sounds is great, music, video, text messages, but ringtone volume is very low.

I also tried reset all settings, didn't work.

Still no fix? Or my ears is jokin me?

My ringer is the same but text tones and game sounds are in deed much lower, probably by half.

Tried restoring as new this morning with no luck. This needs fixed asap.

yep, restored about 20 minutes ago and no luck too, but I activate and then install backup

I've noticed the same thing. Since upgrading from iOS 5.0.1 to iOS 5.1, all the music on my iPhone 4s has become quieter and has lost a lot of bass. I tried restoring my phone and that didn't work. I will try "reset all settings" later today. Someone suggested to me setting up my phone as a new phone. I'll give that a try if reset all settings doesn't work. Does Apple test their updates before relasing them?

Well, I guess if all else fails, I will just have to buy another iPhone when the next iteration comes out.

Tried everything: same problem here. It seems to be an equalizer issue because if I try to change ringtone the volume seems loud again.

I am experiencing the same problem, and after speaking to Apple support do this and do that and press this and press that , nothing has changed. There must be a way that users can downgrade to the previous update, in this case 5.01.

Why dont the apple gurus or so they think they are, test the update or upgrades before releasing it, and the battery saving issue with the 5.1 update , well it's the same.

If any one knows how to fix this please help us all. Or please apple gurus bring out a fix for this immideatly or the 5.2 update.

My 4S 64G is from Asia and I also expericing great drop in volume even since upgrading from iOS 5.0.1 to iOS 5.1 and it's very obvious. Now when my phone ring, at times I can't even hear it even I had set to the max. Restored once and it's still the same. Very disappointed with this new firmware upgrade!!!
