iCloud Mail Down (12:30PM eastern, Apr 17, 2012)?

I was in the middle of responding to an email on iCloud.com's mail interface, and all of the sudden the "Send" button grayed out. I see I have 1 item in my drafts folder, which must be the last auto-saved draft of the reply I was typing up, but I cannot get to the draft. On iCloud.com, the loading spinner just spins and spins and eventually I get an error saying the folder can't be loaded. Same thing happens when I try to go back to the Inbox. I tried to load up the draft on my iPhone 4S, but it also just keeps spinning and never loading the draft. The fact that the problem is occuring on two devices (on separate network connections, one PC on my office's wifi and the other my 4S on AT&T's 3G network) seems to imply that the problem is server-side. Is anybody else seeing these problems?

I'm located in Tallahassee, FL. Not sure if that matters, but I suppose it could be a regional outage.

I never lost iCloud service, but NOTHING has or is coming through to Mail.App on the MBP (lion)... So, it ain't fixed for me...

I called Express Lane and lectured the kid on the other end about the revolt that's developing... They REALLY have no idea in support as to how bad it is... No notices, not flags, not one word to the front line folks...

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I have received emails that were sent after 6:41pm central today but nothing prior to that since 2:00pm yesterday. Some of the ones I did get still won't load. Looking for work right now. Really need my email back. Those who said you shouldn't complain about a free service - I paid for this service before it was free and have been paying for a few years. I expect it to work. I understand things happen but it has lasted way too long.

Though is seems like many of us are finally starting to receive some of our emails, the deafening silecne from Apple is inexcusable. As is the fact that - according to many of the posts in this thread - customer service reps have no clue as to how deep the problem really is.

I've been a huge fan of all things Apple for many years, so this lack of acknowledgment by the company is extremely disturbing.

Whether or not the problem is finally fixed, I think anyone who has a Twitter account should Tweet about the problem to bring awareness beyond this Apple community group. Almost no one is currently Tweeting about this.

Search the following hashtags and either retweet or include the hashtags in your own tweet: #iCloud #outage.

I realy think that we are part of a test to see our responce and what can the company spect from a system crash, there is no reason why my father, brother, girlfriend and mother have no problem even that its from the same account or they were open the same day, I think this is some kind of survey I think ill be digging more deeply

Good luck to you all
