iCloud Mail Down (12:30PM eastern, Apr 17, 2012)?

I was in the middle of responding to an email on iCloud.com's mail interface, and all of the sudden the "Send" button grayed out. I see I have 1 item in my drafts folder, which must be the last auto-saved draft of the reply I was typing up, but I cannot get to the draft. On iCloud.com, the loading spinner just spins and spins and eventually I get an error saying the folder can't be loaded. Same thing happens when I try to go back to the Inbox. I tried to load up the draft on my iPhone 4S, but it also just keeps spinning and never loading the draft. The fact that the problem is occuring on two devices (on separate network connections, one PC on my office's wifi and the other my 4S on AT&T's 3G network) seems to imply that the problem is server-side. Is anybody else seeing these problems?

I'm located in Tallahassee, FL. Not sure if that matters, but I suppose it could be a regional outage.

I rang apple support uk this morning. After being blind transfered from what sounded like one indian call centre to another and then another I eventually got through to one in Ireland. They have confirmed it is a mass shortage with no ETA for services to be resumed. It took half an hour and £10 worth of being on hold to be told what I had already figured out.

I'm waiting on an email that I need today or else I will lose my house. Thanks apple.

Apple products and services continually degrading since 2008.

Getting the same need more storage message as everyone else.

I got "some" of my email, but I know there are a LOT of messages (including tests to myself from other email accounts I have) that have not shown up yet. I would LOVE to get this out to the press!!!!

Likewise here - and I am in the UK. Looks like an international problem. I almost fell for that 'need more storage' message - until I checked. Also very worried about emails from prospective clients as I am working freelance. Not good. Get a grip, Apple - you are losing us money!

Still out in Chicago. Called fastlane this morning and they didn't seem to know there was an issue. Got sent up the ladder and now my case is in engineering. Have had no emails since 5:30 yesterday, and only intermittantly before then. Finally they posted a status issue this morning! This is my main email, this us a huge problem! There should be better information forthcoming from apple.

Still down in Austin, TX (moreless for 2 consecutive days).

It seems to be WW issue. Having look at http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/systemstatus/ it is hard for me to understand why I am in this "<1% affected users"...

Apple claims normal service has been restored to the less than 1% - My service has not been restored!!!!! Still no emails:-(
