Lungs, Thank you. I thought I had lost 5 years of contacts (over 2000) with all the associated data. I just hope everything comes back as it is syncing back from iCloud right now. I had no idea when I checked the box to sync to iCloud that it would delete everything off my phone and out of Outlook.

Did you keep an iTunes backup on your computer except for iCloud backup?

I guess you won't be able to restore contacts back from iCloud so far as you have removed them.

Yet you can still recover contacts from iTunes if you have backup on your computer.

I know that some sorts of softwares will be able to this, for example, iTunes Backup Extractor.

It extract and recover lost or deleted photos, videos, contacts, SMS/MMS, call records, voicememos, calendars, notes and Safari bookmarks from .sqlitedb file.

kittowpj,

You need to turn off contacts on your iPhone iCloud settings and say discard regarding keeping contacts on your phone. This will erase all the contacts on your phone (make sure you have a local backup to your computer before doing this). I'm not on ios 7 so if you don't get this message, turn off contacts, log out of iCloud, then manually erase all your contacts on the iPhone but make sure they show up on the iCloud web interface first.

Log back in on your phone, turn on Contacts, your updated list should show in a few.
