Hi ashdeh86
Over the last few months I have also noticed an increasingly prominent white spot in the bottom of my macbook retina screen (late June 2012 model). Initially I hoped it would sort itself out but soon realised this was optimistic, yet I have been unable to find time to take it in to an Apple Store to check if I can have my display replaced due to the closest one to me being almost two hours away. However, I'm visiting London next week and so will have plenty opportunity to visit an apple store, but before I go I'd love it if you could answer a few of my questions about the process as it would be a nightmare if after all the effort I didnt have the correct paperwork with me etc. and so could not have it fixed.
Did you need to show them your purchase receipt or any other paperwork or did you simply walk in with the mac?
I see you said that you went to the store but then had to return for an appointment for them to replace the screen, do you know if it would be possible for them to repair/replace the mac on the day or alternatively, am I able to arrange a specific appointment time where they would repair/replace the screen, without them having seen the fault beforehand?
Many thanks taking the time to read this. I hope you are now enjoying your macbook pro as it should be, and are hopefully not experiencing any issues with the new Samsung diplay.
