Appstore download buttons not working

Hi Folks,

Since Saturday 23rd June 2012 the iOS Appstore download buttons don't work anymore. 😮

When trying to download an app, after I press the "free" button, the "install" button moves to the side, is rearranged oddly and won't work. I saw where someone suggested just syncing the iPhone with the computer and downloading from there, but I don't consider that as a solution, but only an ugly "patch" to solve a bug that Apple introduced last weekend when they updated the Appstore.

Anyone more suffering these issues? Which device and iOS version are you using? 😕

For you information, many users suffered this kind of problems 6 months ago and after many compaints from us, they fixed it!,... and now Apple did it again 😐

Just posting on here is not going to do much. We need to open support case tickets online and then call techincal support when they send you a e-mail saying they can't do anything.

I opened a case ticket online and basically got a e-mail response to call technical support. I called Apple care support and eventually asked to speak with a supervisor because I wasn't getting anywhere.

I got a superivisor to open a case ticket with medium priority and suppose to get a response on Friday.

I stongly suggest others open case tickets and to call technical support over the phone about this issue and ask to talk to a supervisor if you get a run around. They probably won't move to do anything if they don't officially have the issue reported by many customers opening case tickets. If I don't see satisfaction on Friday, I will look to report it to blogs and Digital magazines.

Well, I think that "making noise" about this BUG is important here, but I will suggest also to complain using one of this links from Apple:

And also here (Topic: Downloads (Software/Firmware updates))

As more we are, more will do Apple for us! 😉

I'm experiencing the same issue on my iPhone 3G iOS 3.1.3 based. Most likely Apple messed up when updating the AppStore to support the iOS6 release. I've reported the issue here as well:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3574451?start=135&tstart=0

since the same issue happened on December 2011 as well.

I've raised 3 tickets, called the AppCare and had them opening an internal ticket for me. Hopefully they'll start looking into the issue soon.

Cheers.

I have a first gen iPod Touch iOS 3.1.3, in FULL working order since 2006, I cannot afford to upgrade every 2 minutes and only do when the hardware breaks down and only then when I have any money. The buttons do not work for me either, although on the update page, everything is okay.....so far! I also sent an email and got the usual answer to ring them, is it free? not ringing otherwise. (not my bill).

Apple support is not going to do anything just from your posts here. People need to open support cases online here http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/contact/ and then call Apple Care Support when they send a e-mail saying you need to call. Complaining on here is not officially recognized by Apple but opening a support case is

Most Apple reps will say you need to purchase a support package, but then insist to talk to a Supervisor saying you should NOT have to pay extra for support for something that is Apple's AppStore issue /fault.

Thats what I did and I got in touch with a Supervisor who forwarded my case ticket. If many people don't try to open a support case Apple will probably not do anything. I'm giving them to Friday to let me know if they going to fix it or will then forward the issue to Digital news blog sites so the word gets out.
