Appstore download buttons not working

Hi Folks,

Since Saturday 23rd June 2012 the iOS Appstore download buttons don't work anymore. 😮

When trying to download an app, after I press the "free" button, the "install" button moves to the side, is rearranged oddly and won't work. I saw where someone suggested just syncing the iPhone with the computer and downloading from there, but I don't consider that as a solution, but only an ugly "patch" to solve a bug that Apple introduced last weekend when they updated the Appstore.

Anyone more suffering these issues? Which device and iOS version are you using? 😕

For you information, many users suffered this kind of problems 6 months ago and after many compaints from us, they fixed it!,... and now Apple did it again 😐

iPhone 3G, iOS 3.1.3, iTunes 10

I opened a support case ticket and called Apple support. The Apple Rep said they not supporting the AppStore for iOS 3.1.3 anymore. I asked to talk to a Superviser and explained the issue and she got a techical support person on the phone. I got the technical person to replicate the problem at their end using iOS 3.1.3 and prove it was a AppStore problem. They said this was the first they are hearing of the issue 😮 The technical person is exculating the issue to the Engineer team and hopefully something will be fixed soon. No estimated timeframe was given for a fix.

Hi I'm using an ipod touch 1g (not an iphone) but it's running 3.1.3 and I'm having the exact same problem. When I click the install button it does this weird jumpy thing and does nothing.

I don't want to attempt a restore because last time it corrupted on me and I had to use dfu mode, not to mention losing all my stuff.

Just letting you guys know

I'm seeing exactly the same issue that amandafromsalford documented with her screenshots (I have an iPhone 2G w/ IOS v3.1.X on it)

30apple,

Thanks for going the extra mile to open a support ticket. I have a few questions for you:

  1. Are you seeing the same issue that "amandafromsalford" is seeing? If so,
  2. Can you post the case/incident # you opened with Apple so we can all call in and reference the same case # in the tickets we open? This should make it easier and quicker for everyone to call in and draw attention to this issue.

Thanks!

I just rang apple and they weren't helpful.. I have to open a support case (costs $60NZD) and can't justify that. She said people have rang in about this issue but I can't be given any assistance until I pay the fee. She did ask if anybody has been able to install apps through itunes via a computer?

Looks like it's installous for me..

rusty_sim,

Do what 30apple suggested and open a ticket via http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/contact/. You need to put in your serial # but once you do that it seems to allow you to open an incident, I did so and wasn't charged anything yet (to my knowledge).

Repeated from other thread on the same issue.

iOS 3.1.3 (7E18)

iPhone 3gs

mac device for OS sync - unavailable

-genius stopped working

-genius started working

-info page back button disappeared for a long time

-back button fixed

-genius stopped working the info back button started working again

- buy button changes color and shape

- info page full graphic splash sizing wrong

- no horizontal scroll of splash

- can update apps

- can't buy apps...

- AppStore GUI code mistakes?

- or does the production manager @AppStore GUI even try

the updates on a 2 yr old device- before releases?

As it stands, is iOS 3.1.3 no longer compatible with the Appstore

or is it that Apple does not support this iOS or what?

Regardless of my update woes...if you don't, can't, or won't

support it ...just say so.. publicly. Excuse my tone- gets tiring

telling someone how to pack a bag of groceries- over and over...
