Retina Macbook Pro WiFi and Bluetooth issue

Hey all,

i'd be really thankful for some info on the following issue :

i've got a Retina Macbook Pro and a Bluetooth Sound System from Logitech. The System connects to Macbook via Bluetooth which always works fine. Connecting to internet via WiFi works fine as well. The problem occurs when i use both WiFi and Bluetooth simultaneously : there seems to be some kind of interference, which makes my internet either go down completely or become very slow. This issue is not that nasty, but I'd expect a $2300 machine to work perfectly. So my question is : is this problem known for all of new Retina Macbooks or is it just my unit? In case it's just my unit, i'd still have a chance of exchanging it for a new one. But i'd like to know for sure where this problems comes from. I'd also be very thankful for every other solution you can think of.

Finally, I connected other bluetooth dongle and I'm using it instead of the one build in. Everything is working now.

I have been struggling with this since I bought a Bluetooth Speaker system that has conflicted with my wifi. It took a while just to trouble shoot the wifi connection problem, but it eventually became clear that the bluetooth conflict was causing the issue. Thankfully I have not had this issue with my mouse or keyboard... but it is still a major pain!

Today I found an article the recommended removing Bluetooth Pan under Network settings. I have connected multiple devices and ran speed tests and this seems to have finally fixed the issue!!! Not sure if I will need the setting in the future, but it seems to be a setting you can easily replace if you need it for some reason.

hi!

I'm wondering if this problems happens also with the retina macbooks of 2013-2015

mine is 2012, and when bluetooth is ON, WIFI goes down almost a 40%-50%... that's funny for a 3100€ machine...

Had the same issue. Absolutely embarrassing for Apple. The only solution that worked for me, was switching my wifi from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz. Luckiliy the Time Capsule can do this. A bluetooth dongle was no option for me.
