mountain lion up-to-date redeem code says 'this code has already been used'

I have a problem with the code I was sent from Apple for the up-to-date program - I received both emails - I followed the instructions, opened the pdf with the password supplied - copied the redeem code and on my first attempt to redeem the code in the mac app store I received the error message "this code has already been used. Each code may only be used once."

I definitely did not try to redeem the code previously - and I followed the above steps within minutes of receiving the emails from apple.

I did the claim through the Australian localised Apple site if this is helpful?

Any assistance very much appreciated - very annoying!

Same issue in Canada.

I passed 30 minutes with Apple Care and to conclude their engeneers are working on a fix. They will identify the impacted users and they commit to send a working redeem code in the next 24 hours.

Heeeyyy nice to be part of it: Same here from Germany ... Code already in use. The german support-Hotline told me that they can't handle the issue right now, but I should call again tomorrow.

Its really poor that such pre-alpha state web-services get launched when still working incorrectly.

just had my call from joint venture,, they werent actually aware of the problem, BUT as posted above,, apple are aware,, so why people keep moaning is beyond me,,

I purchased two Mac Book Airs since June 11 and tried to use a different redeem code for both computers and got the message "This code has already been used. Each code may be used only once." on both redeem codes.

I've never used the code before and Mountain Lion doesn't show up in purchases. What a mess!

ad15, just because apple is aware of the problem is not my concern. What bothers me (and Im sure a lot of people) is why Apple doesnt stop issuing the codes for a few hours, fix the problem and then start issuing valid codes!!??

If you goto McDonalds and they give you bags/boxes with food missing, would you not be moaning?

To add to that, if it is happening to many customers, and McDonalds knows about the problem, would you stop moaning?
