Did not receive mountain lion redemption code

Yup same thing for me, over 24 hours since I requested the redemption code and not a word.

Same here no code yet!!!!

What I don't understand is some people are getting second and third retry codes because of issues and we have yet to get one!

I would like to get one even if it doesn't work just to know something is happening!

Apple still doesn't appear able to respond to this predictiment. Darn shame. Well past 24 hours now.

on a positive note ......if we forget that ML is already released .....we will be installing ours in july as promised by Apple ...the date was not promised when we dished out $$$

Interesting question. If this was a known time delay, one would think that Apple could have been more customer centric and thought ahead, rather then have the system act up after Mountain Lion is available online.

Seriously. Think about the info they gather. Your serial number, name, address etc. All of that is available before it gets released.

Then think about what they provide, a keycode. Which I only hope they are able to generate before the software is released.

Basically your early adopters of the Macbook Pro Retina are being punished for no reason.

agree to every bit of waht you said ...why should I be made to check around when they can just have the status online ....but perhaps they did not expect it .

I also got impatient and called support. They can look up your claim to see if it was approved or not, but after that they are just giving the same canned response to wait 72 hours. They don't seem to be able to send out a code themselves.

To others, I'd suggest just waiting until after that time, so the reps can be freed up to deal with other issues.

I picked up a new rMBP from the local Apple store on Monday knowing that I'd wait for ML's release before I began any serious work on the device. Happily I saw that it was released on Weds as expected. So I go through the process of getting a code thinking that I'd be able to upgrade that night and be ready to start working on the new computer today. Nope! Still have not received a single email, and it's been far longer than the 24 hour waiting period in the terms and conditions.

As suggested in some of the other threads I sent an email to uptodatesupport@apple.com and I'm hoping to get some sort of resolution through them.

Nothing like spending $2300+ on a new computer you can't use without risking data loss during an OS upgrade. 😟

I've been waiting over 24 hours. An applecare rep told me codes would be received within 24hrs of request. The next rep told me 1-2 days. Does anyone else not understand why verifications were not done before the release of ML to prevent, i dont know, this. Frustration.

Same... I was told twice expect 72 hours maybe more.... *****. I cannot believe this was not automated. Pitiful 😕
