Apple said they had to redirect all their employees to count their money in reserves. Apparently their treasurer made a mistake causing Apple to withdraw their gigantic reserves in pennies. Now they have to count the fund so they can deposit it back to the bank!

Still waiting... and waiting and waiting. Perhaps my codes will come via FedEx hand chisselled in a gold bar from Apple!

Ok, I am going on 36 hours now and no code. I paid a BUTT LOAD of money for a fully loaded rMBP on the day they were released. I would think, when I put my serial # in, it would have recognized it and said, "right this way sir, your new OS is right here". The stupid regitration thing didn't even recognize my SN? It was purchased within 2 hours of release on the Apple Online Store. I had to send proof of purchase? ****, I don't have to show proof of purchase when I watch a movie I bought on iTunes! Why would this be any different? This is a bit irritating when no one that is paying the $20 is having issues. I paid quite a bit more than that! I know Steve Jobs has a clone sitting there in Cuppertino. Do we really have to wait 20 years for him to take back over the company?

It is 36 hours and I did not get my code yet. I was hoping to get it within hours. I have been frantically checking my email every hour to see if there is any kind of response from Apple. I called support twice, once last night and once few hours back. Both times I was told that it can take upto 72 hours. It is about 36 hours and I guess another 36 hours to go.... 😠 Its not the money but the service that counts. Extremely upset about the service.

I am on board the same train ride you are on. I am not pleased with how this redemption process was managed. I buy a new rmbp, and wait 4 weeks to get it. Now I can't even upgrade to the latest operating software. I call them today and even then they said I couldn't just buy it on the Mac app site and then they would reimburse me. That would be to easy. I called Apple today at 9 AM and they had said that my request has been approved but it would still take 72 hours to receive it, what a joke. I'm pretty frustrated! Very disturbing. Registered the moment ML became available, and not a peep. Since this is not hardware,so you would think that the cost of holding back on angry customers like me, outweighs the cost of giving the thing away. It is just $20, and like the iPad covers which were credited for the delivery delay, it is just better PR to stop scrutinizing the applications and send out redemption codes. Apple is starting to look incompetent which is a very bad thing, and very costly to repair.
