No Wake-on-LAN possible since updating to ML

Same issue with a late 2009 MacMini. With Lion it woke up perfectly, when acessed over Lan. Now I have to hit the keyboard or mouse. Not very comfortable for an Mac used as fileserver.

Same problem here. Mac mini 2011 model, with Wake on network activity activated.

Doesn't see it as a share on wireless, and I can't wake it with VNC or HTTP activity using a wired connection.

Same here, MacMini, ethernet. My other Macs not having this issue. Seems we found a bug. So far, ML is the most solid OSX release ever, and I've done em all since 10.0 beta, we should get a prize. Setting sleep to never until there's an update.

Price or no price, I would be happy to also know if Apple are taking this issue into concern for the first round of patches to ML. Do anyone know if they are listening and when can we expect an update?

Steffan, since the thread continues and others are seeing the same issue, I suppose resetting the SMC and PRAM didn;t help?

I just filed a bug report. It only takes a minute, there are surprisingly few fields to fill out. The more of us file the more attn this will get. BTW I'm using a wired network. I switched to wireless (yes the airport has all the right firmware) and that doesn't work either.

I have a NAS device at home that I was able to keep my mappings to in Lion when my Mac was in sleep mode. That is no longer the case. Whenever the Mac goes to sleep now, the mappings drop.

I'm on a wired connection.

I just filled out the bug report you guys linked to. Hopefully this will be addressed soon as it is a pain in the you know what.

This problem has been going on since Lion for some unfortunately. I was hoping that it had been solved with Mountain Lion but I am very dissappointed to see that it hasn't.

Ditto. All the same issues. No WOL. Cannot access my iMac from within my local wifi network after "upgrading" to ML. LogMeIn doesnt work either, nor Apple TV. Checked all settings and prefs, rebooted everything... Only way I can connect to the iMac is to physically get in front of it and wake it up.

This is pretty basic stuff and you would think that Apple would have tested this extensively, especially considering that they've just dealt with the same (firmware) issue in the last six months.

Very disappointing.
