ios 6 stuck and Frozen

my 3gs is now done, took its time, depends on how much stuff you have on there too i guess, i was deleting apps whilst it was downloading so it would have extra space, not sure how much of a difference that would have made, overall 2 anda bit hours and its done

Just to add to this discussion I have an iPhone 4 and I am now on my second black screen with the Apple logo and the progress bar has not moved at all. This screen has been this way for 1 hour and 10 minutes. I'm just about over patiently waiting.

All this after an initial 45 minutes to download and prepare.

Same just happened here, I'm on a second black screen with empty loading bar, total time since I began updat? 3 hours 10 minutes.

Just finished. Total time 3 hours. Kinda crazy.

2 hours for me now and still stuck in the same black screen with apple/progress bar stuck. It's not moving. Guess I'll wait for the 3 hours like the previous user. I'm trying to update my iPad3.

My iphone 4 froze during ios6 update and told me to plug it back into Itunes with the cord. Its in recovery mode and failed the recovery process. Not sure what to do at this point... have tried to restore 3 times

My iPad was stuck at the progress bar for 1 1/2 hrs ... but updated successfully now.

Mine is stuck for about 30 mins, but here are the specs.

iPhone 4 32gb

Upgrading from 5.1.1

Had 6gb left (26 used)

The upgrade was stuck on "preparing device" and couldn't tell if it's working or not, so I restarted (should not have). No big deal though, if you restarted, the whole prepare process start again.

If yours is doing this, the way to check progress is go to "About" screen. I had 6gb left when I first saw it, but I kept going back to it and the available space started going down over time. That's how I knew that it was working in the background. The lowest it went was 5.4 GB. It just got done preparing and the black screen with upgrade (progress) bar is up.

Really strange, but still no movement after 3 hours so I did a force restart on the ipad and it restarted. I had to go through all the setup settings as if the iPad was brand new, like using Siri, enable location, etc. So I am hoping that all the software is there. I may do a restore and then do a full successful update.

Seriously Apple, ***!

I got an iphone 4. It took forever to download and theoritically install iOS6. When it was done with the neverending progress bar and the apple logo, it turned black. When it came back to life was with picture of a cable and the itunes logo prompting me to connect the device. Itunes DOES NOT identify the phone and the only option it gives me is to restore to the original settings, which means I will lose everything I had, as it doesn't even give me the option to restore my latest security backup. What should I do? Cry? get a Samsung?

I 've got a problem whith my ios 6 to!! I cant conect to any wifi network! What can i do?

my 4 is stuck flasing the apple logo for about an hour now , apple goes on and off then screen turns off then screen turns on etc.... etc... etc..... etc....

PLEASE HELP

finally got it working... try using a different USB port to restore and update. On a side note the new Apple Maps program is complete JUNK!! I think they should have left GooG on for another year until they actually were able to compete with their mapping abilities. Its definitely a step backwards on a phone that is a step forwards.
