Am I the only one having ios 6 ipad 3 wi-fi issues

I just powered down both my iPhones 1 4 and 1 4S. Unplugged my router (Cisco/Linksys) for 30 seconds. Plugged my router back in, waited for it to come back up, powered on both phones and it took care of the problem on both. Back up and running, no problems.

I had the same problem as everyone here...I went into safari cleared my history, cookies and data then shut off and turned back on it connected and has been for the past half hour.

I did a hard shutdown of my iphone 4S. No longer saw the slide to shut it off but if you hold both buttons down for a long time screen goes black. Reboot and wifi works. Hope this helps someone.

I had the following work for me:

Settings > Wi-Fi > (Network) > "Blue Circle Arrow" > FORGET THIS NETWORK

Settings > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi OFF

Then turn back on, connect and thumbs up 🙂

I had same problem and was able to fix it by going to Settings, Safari, and clearing both "History" and "Cookies and Data". I don't use safari on the ipad, but it worked and I am back up and running. Hope this helps some.

I just talked to them, no FIX, they said its a major problem a LOT of people are having and just keep a eye on APPLE.COM for any fixes that come up. The strange thing is, as i was talking to him it just started working again, for now. Be he did say, let people know we know about the issue, we do not have a fix for it now and we will let everyone know as we find a fix

Issue was randomly fixed for me.

I went to wifi settings - blue arrow for the network i wanted to join - scroll down and select AUTO under HTTP Proxy - it then asked for my apple ID password and a bunch of prompts about icloud and imessages etc etc.. (finishing the ios 6 setup).

i went to do the same on my other device and it was already working correctly....

I'm assuming the redirect issue on the apple website was the issue and has been fixed....

YES I SOMEHOW MADE IT WORK

- I tried doing "renew lease" for wifi settings.

But, I wasn't able to connect. that may have fixed it. Maybe it's delayed

- I also opened my maps, and then browser and then reconnected to the wifi, and back to browser, and finally it's working.

turn on private browsing, then try again...make sure to close all browsers.

I pressed the back button until I received the ios 6 screen, then I turned the ipad off with the button on top, then continued and it finally recognized my network. I did not have to click auto.

I cleared all the settings in my IPAD 3 and then in safari setting, rebooted my IPAD and now is perfectly working.

My wife and I were getting this on our screens when we selected the wireless manually.

I disabled the Automatic Downloads under iTunes & App Stores in the Settings menu. This fixed the issue for me and my wife.

For me, diabling and re-enabling bluetooth seems to have fixed it while doing a complete restore, reseting network settings, forgetting network, etc didn't work.

Apple really scared us for a little bit there, didn't they? 😠
