After sending a group of diagnostic files to Apple Tech Support, I just got off the return phone call and was told the following:
"iTunes will not support wifi sync on a Windows computer connected to the Ethernet port of the wifi router, that it will only work reliably if the PC is actually using wifi.
Going to go grab a wifi card and see đż
After hearing this news I was so angry had to drive to BB to pick up a wifi card just to cool off đ
However my devices are showing up in iTunes at the moment with the PC running on the wifi network with the IOS devices, and home sharing of videos from the PC's library to the IOS devices and Apple TV which iTunes 11 also broke are working at the moment as well.
But due to how intermittent this problem can be, im not calling this a fix by any means. And since wifi sync hooked to the Ethernet port worked fine before 10.7 and IOS 6 and Home Sharing before iTunes 11 me thinks Apple still has a problem to fix.
One other thing that helped some on Windows 7 if your using the Windows Firewall:
(From Appletoolbox.com)
It has also been reported that Windows Firewall may have prevented the Wi-Fi sync. You need to make sure that âSyncServer.exeâ, which coordinates the synchronization processes, is allowed. To do this: Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall; Look for âSyncServerâ in the list, if it is not there, select âChange Settingsâ then âAllow another programâ > Click âBrowseâŠâ > Find âC:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\SyncServer.exeâ. Restart iTunes and your iPod / iPhone / iPad should appear in iTunes.
