wifi sync not working after ios6 update

Is anyone else having this problem. I updated to iOS 6 today on my iPhone 4s, everything else is working just fine, but wifi-sync isn't working, my phone doesn't appear in itunes until i plug it into my computer. Anyone have any ideas?

The quick reset that fixes the problem (until it comes back again) is to disconnect and reconnect your Mac from your network. If it's hardwired, just unplug the ethernet cable and plug it back in (works instantly for me 100% of the time). If you're connected over WiFi, just turn it off and turn it back on. Like the above PC solution, it fixes the problem temporarily, but it's quick and allows you to sync without much effort.

The holy grail fix most of us would like is one that is permanent.

yeah, my earlier reported success after upgrading to the latest itunes was indeed a fluke.

it's back to sporadic connections.

i still have the best results with my ios devices UNPLUGGED from power. i have an iphone and an ipad and i have one charger near my laptop and usually have either one or the other plugged in. when i start itunes, 9 times out of 10, whichever device is NOT plugged into power will show up for wifi sync in itunes. i know that is exactly backwards from what apple says, but that is my experience. i can generally get the other device to show up by UNPLUGGING it from power and waiting 30 seconds or so.

it's a lot of extra hassle compared to the old days when it really did "just work" 100% of the time and instantly.

I Have had this problem for ages, and I have found something that has so far worked for my iPhone 4 and iPad so thought I would share it, I'm sorry but I only know the windows version of this but I'm sure mac users can adapt it.

with iTunes running do a cntl-alt-del and choose task manager and then click on the services tab, scroll down the long list till you find apple mobile device, right click on it and choose stop service, or pause service,, but DO NOT delete it or you may not be able to sync your device at all, now close task manager and close iTunes, restart I tunes, plug your device into a power supply and it should come up, has worked for me for a while now.

hope this help and has not been suggested before,, way to many replies to read them all.

Forgot to say, connect device my cable one last time and untick and tick sync by wifi for that device....
