Glad it worked. :-)

You won't see the "categories" anymore...Apple forgot to share that info: once you add one card, it only shows the cards. Go to Target app and add. Then it will add to passbook. You have to go to each individually app, even if you already have it...It's a long frustrating process.

In my non expert opinion. Passbook wasn't ready to launch

I got the same error... the trick didn't fix it... but I don't think it has to.

I already have had the current American Airlines app and happen to be flying later today. I was in the app to view my boarding pass and it gave me the option to add it... clicked to do so..

and now that boarding pass is in Passbook!

While it's frustrating not to be able to see all the apps available that support passbook via that connection that isn't happening... and apps that support passbook don't seem to have the keyword 'passbook' to come up in a reg itunes search.. Apps you have and apps you want that you know support passbook are all you need. I initially thought had to download special passbook apps or something - not the case. Just grab the apps you want normal via the iTunes store - and those that support passbook allow you to add the cards and passes and such to it.

Hope this helps.

Experiencing the same problem today have tried the "solutions" recommended on here but none seem to work. Spoke to my service provider Rogers and they recommend hitting the reset network settings but I am a bit nervous about doing that. Perhaps it is better to wait until Apple comes out with a fix since there seem to be any number of follow on problems for those who "fix" the initial problem. Sounds like this is one app that was rushed out the door without being fully tested.

My iTunes was already on for cellular data... but real point - as per a few posts up - you don't need to do any fix. Just go straight to the apps you use or the to the iTunes store an download any apps you want that support this new feature.

The error, you'd think, suggests that you have to download special plug ins or special Passbook apps... not the case at all.

Apps with passbook support are no different than any normal app. This is a feature they support. i already had the AA app installed and was surprised that it magically worked. i was trying to to get passbook 'to work' - basically gave up when the tricks to get iTunes to connect didn't work.. went to the AA app I normally use for my boarding pass and the option to put my pass in Passbook was there. Clicked to add -and VOILA!

It's annoying this error is happening... and it confuses the expectation of how passbook actually works... Bottom line is can completely bypass the non-issue entirely.
