ios6 won't connect to wifi

I had the same problem after upgrading to IOS 6. Wifi would drop and then take me to the www.apple.com login/non existant page.

I reset my network settings:

General ->

Scroll To Bottom ->

Reset->

RESET NETWORK SETTINGS

My 4s reset completely but now connects to wifi. I turned off celluar data to verify that my data was coming thru Wifi and ran a speed test. Seems to be good now. The WIFI symbol diappears and reappears regularly so I'm still a bit apprehensive, but it's working for now.

Try that and hope it works for good!

All better now, glitch with it's reporting back to Apple (seamlessly in the background of course)... :-)

Didn't do much to fix it but if you are still experiencing an issue delete and re-add your network.

A restart did the trick on my 4S.

EDIT: I should add that before I restarted the device (which I realize I should have done first), I did the following:

Turn off/on WiFi

Forget/Rejoin my Network

It's not really a big issue. It's just a bit tricky.

Upon installing iOS6, this also happened to me. It asked me to choose a wireless network and it would launch a Safari browser and disconnect from the wifi immediately.

To fix this, just press any of the links on the page (apple logo, etc) and then PRESS BACK with Safari. The wifi connection will come back and upon pressing back it will say "Success". You can now proceed to the next step and finish the iOS6 installation.

I called Apple Care for this same error - they said that for THE FIRST TIME you must be within a foot or so of your wireless antenna - no idea why is what they say - but I tried it right next to my router and it is now working fine. Hope this helps someone else!!!!!

For my iPhone it took going to Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings

For my iPad it took forgetting the wifi, turning wifi off, rebooting, turning wifi on, and readding the network

That worked for me as well. I turned off Cellular Data, turned WiFi back on, connected to my router, it connected, turned Cellular Data back on and I am back up and running!

Solution is easy:

1- Put the device in Airplane mode = ON

2- connect to wireless network

everything should work

3- Put the device in Airplane mode = OFF

All should be clear.

Turn your wi-fi off then back on. Yes, this works.

What worked for me was, I turned off Cellular Data, turned on WiFi, connected to my router, then I turned Cellular Data back on and I am up and running!

UPDATE!

I TRIED TO GET INTO MY NETWORK'S SETTINGS AFTER IT CONNECTED, BUT BEFORE IT LOGGED OFF. I CHANGED THE PROXY SETTING FROM OFF TO AUTO. AFTER A WHILE, I TRIED TO LOG ON AGAIN, AND IT DIDN'T GO TO THE APPLE LOGIN PAGE ANYMORE. PROBLEM SOLVED, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHY.

JUST AN FYI

Update - Cellular data still turned off and wifi is dropping signal. While browsing pages wifi symbol dissappears and a warning page comes up saying Safari is not connected to the internet....hope a SOLID fix comes thru soon!

Please try to put your device in Airplane mode = ON and connect to WIFI

I fixed the problem by turning off my cellular network in setting then logged in to wifi then turn my cellular network back on.
