Same issue iPad 2 and iPhone 4s. Cannot connect to wifi. Now what? Both were upgraded over the air.
same here, something is wrong with ios6...
Same problem here. Updated to iOS6, it detects wifi network and connects for a second then goes to a browser session with a 'page not found' error on the apple site.
I had this same issue. Goto Settings - General - Reset Network Settings and it worked again.
Same here. Frustrating as heck...
I just Reset my network settings... found the tip on another thread..https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4311689?answerId=19625176022#19625176022
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset>Network Settings
It worked. I was able to connect to my wifi after that.
FIX:
Settings > Wi-Fi > (Network...) > "Network Name"
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and set:
HTTP Proxy to Auto
I tried this on my Ipad and IT WORKED!
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Goto wifi then network and renew lease
I am have the same problem with my iphone 4s. not recognizing my wifi.
Same here but on an iPhone 4. First time I updated it failed and the phone restarted into restore mode so I had to do a full restore and install it again.
Thought all was well until I just tried going on Safari and a screen opened saying it couldn't connect to the Apple page I was looking for. I've tried restoring network settings and reconnecting to my wifi after "forgetting" the settings but it keeps dropping the signal and bringing this Apple page up. One occasion the actual wifi button disappeared from the settings page!?
I have to be up in less than 5 hours for work so have no time to mess about which means I'm going to have to go without Internet tomorrow as I rely on wifi as we have no 3G round this way.
I thought these things get tested!?
Very annoyed!!!
Yep this works. THANK YOU!
same here... Veryyyy frustrated!!!! but I tried resetting my ipad, And that worked for me...
I remember doing this for a previous os change on the 1st gen iPad. Things worked after that. On my 3rd gen iPad, after ota update to iOS 6, I tried this again, after not being able to connect to wifi at home, and getting the apple page every time I tried.., so, after I did the reset network settings, it worked for a minute or so, and now, it has started doing the same thing again.
Gr now, I have lte, so, although I cannot connect to my home network, and that's inconvenient, I can still get online ( to post this), but I hope apple cleans this up quickly...
As someone else posted earlier, I just resolved this issue by going into settings> Reset Network Settings. So, hopefully this works for others as well.
