Just installed iOS6 on my iPhone 4S and thought I'd test the Maps app. I put in my directions and pressed the start button but thoughout my 2km Drive I got no sound instruction. I checked the Maps settings and the volume was up Loud. I also did a hard reset and still no sound. My model phone is MD241X/A.
any ideas ?
Which country? I mean in Chile the "MapGate" is still the same (no sound, no blue arrow, just dot, and no recalculations) 😕
I feel scam by Apple, at the beginning it was publish we where going to have Turn by Turn navegation, and they sudently delete that info from they webpage as we are **** to them.
At least they should publish "we had to remove some country, we are working to enable this functionalities, etc...".

That ***** big time. I think it happens to Indonesia as well? Apple wasn't the same like it use to ever since Steve Jobs is gone and Tim Cook incharged. Apple better wake up and please solve the battery drain problem. It has been too long...
Indonesia also removed from the list, no wonder when the first date of ios 6 launch i couldnt figure out how to make the turn by turn navigation working.
I'm in the US. Turn by turn voice only works occasionally. It's annoying as ****. Sometimes rebooting helps, but not always.

Guys, I have a problem. When I create a route, I got a gray arrow and can't change to 3D view (turn on or off the 3D button doesn't help). This is my screen shot:

What country you in. Vioce turn. Y turn not available in all countries
I'm in Singapore. When I created the route I could hear Siri told me "Head west to....." so I assumed that it was ok. Beside I can find Singapore in "Turn by Turn Navigation" section in this list: http://www.apple.com/ios/feature-availability/
The gray arrow just stuck there at the middle of the screen. Even when I turn, its head still point at a different direction.
I think the problem is your gps in the device not the maps. try to bring it while you driving, does the arrow follow your movement?
Yes Steve, the arrow will move but its head still point straight to the top of the screen and the color is still gray like this:
Also want to clarify that I've checked compass app and when I create an "on foot" route, the phone will behave normally with a blue dot and the map will rotate as I turn. The problem only appear when I create an "by car" route.
