After updating to iOS 6 iTunes Match does not load my music

iOS6 updated no problem on my iPad. All other apps working fine (although when are Google releasing YouTube and Maps! 😕)

I activated iTunes Match which was working previously fine, yet after upgrading to iOS6 all I get when I get when I go into music is the main screen with a picture of a cloud and an empty loading bar underneath. I have left this for an hour or so with no change.. I appreciate I have A LOT of music but this isn't right!

I have tried turning match off and back on, also rebooted the iPad but it has made no difference. Any one got any further suggestions.

I finally had success getting my iTunes Match back by doing the following:

1) Turn off iTunes Match under Settings --> iTunes and App Stores

2) Force close Music

3) Open Music and delete any songs that still show up. You can also do this through iTunes syncing once you disable iTunes Match on the iOS device

4) Restart the device

5) Turn on iTunes Match

Not sure why it worked but it seems to have restored it to my iPhone 4S and The New iPad.

Hello from Italy.

Same issue with iPhone 4. I tried everythnig even sync with iTunes. It appears as the list if what I had in Music remained in the App. Under settings / usage Music is empty, if I enable Match it begins to download "something" but at the end (when the App do not crash) I'm again with them list with empty titles and leght of 0:00. A restore of settings didn't also help...

Have you tried doing it through iTunes? Once iTunes Match is off, manually make sure all the music is off (I would suggest doing seletive music sync and making sure all boxes are unchecked below for albums, songs, etc.) and hit sync. It should delete everything leaving you with no list in the Music app. You can confirm everything is gone once you open the Music app again and it says it can't find any songs.

I'm having the same issue too. Funny thing is that it's bigger than that just 0:00/no songs issue:

  • I turned off iTunes Match in the iPhone settings
  • I force quit the music app
  • I tried to reopen the music app and the app crashed (repeat 3 times)
  • I restarted the phone
  • After restart, the iTunes Match setting was automatically toggled to "on"
  • Repeat all of the above and see it replicated

I guess it's time for a restore...
