After updating to iOS 6 iTunes Match does not load my music

iOS6 updated no problem on my iPad. All other apps working fine (although when are Google releasing YouTube and Maps! 😕)

I activated iTunes Match which was working previously fine, yet after upgrading to iOS6 all I get when I get when I go into music is the main screen with a picture of a cloud and an empty loading bar underneath. I have left this for an hour or so with no change.. I appreciate I have A LOT of music but this isn't right!

I have tried turning match off and back on, also rebooted the iPad but it has made no difference. Any one got any further suggestions.

I experienced this problem as well when upgrading my iPad 2 and iPhone 4. The iPad was upgraded first and when it finished, iTunes Match was broken. During this time the iPhone was being upgraded. When my iPhone finished, Match is working on it.

I've tried the method mentioned above where you turn off iTunes Match on all the devices in a certain order and then turn it back on without any success.

I would like to avoid randomly deleting files from the iPad's filesystem. We should get this issue escalated so it get's some attention from Apple

Just adding my complaint to this thread. iTunes Match not working on my iPhone 4 after updating to iOS6. None of the techniques mentioned so far worked for me. I did not attempt the 3rd party app solution with iExplorer - Apple users shouldn't have to go that route.

And, very frustrating given that this is not a free service. Hello, Apple....? Are you monitoring these forums??

I tried many of the suggested solution over the last 36 hours on my 4S - soft reset, hard reset, force close, turning on/off settings, waiting, resync via PC, turning off match on my iPad, turning on match on my PC, clearing out pending downloads, and iExplorer. iExplorer was unable to delete any files for some reason. So last night, I did a Restore via PC link to iTunes and then restored the backup from iCloud made just prior to doing an update.

The Restore mostly worked. There was still no music showing on my phone, but iMatch works now. I was able to download music via iMatch. I have yet to confirm whether the songs that were on there are taking up space I am not able to access.

36 hours and a full restore required to do an upgrade is an absoluately terrible experience! I wish I had not upgraded my OS - Apple Maps are terrible, Passport is a joke, and iMatch is a nightmare. This release should not have gone out for another 6 months and even then, they should have let you have Google Maps as a stand alone application for another year while they got their act together.

I'm also not a big fan of them removing the ability to download/delete single songs in a service I pay for primarily to do that. Streaming is not satifactory as a sole solution... cell networks bog down, there are dead zones, and there's no cell service on the subway.
