Enable Airplane Mode in "Settings." Then, disable and it should find that missing connection! If not, just make sure you have the right information in your account and keep refreshing.
This happened to me, just sing out of you mail, then sighn back in.
I hat to delete that accouunt and after that create it again as a new aaccount. It works.!
Angie you are lucky. Nothing so far has worked for me. I have tried all the suggested fixes. Deleted, recreated, rebooted, reentered, clicked. Huge problem for me. Does anyone else have any ideas.
Worked for me too. Im really staring to wonder about IOS6.

I met the same issue last night, but it was perfectly solved with a guide named "iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Cannot Get Mail – The Connection to the Server Failed" from one of my friend. Maybe you guys can also refer to it.😉
Restart your iPod, maybe the iOS 6, made an impact
worked for me:)

Hi Cartwheelie. That's what I used to do with iOS5 every time I changed my Exchange password. This does not work any more for my Exchange account.
I had same issue on my iPad2. Tried the above suggestions. Nothing worked.
Finally, what worked, was, turning my iPad Off, then back On. IOS 6.0.1
Same issue here on my iPhone 4S, only started since upgrade to iOS 6.01. Tried resetting all settings (these are personal, not enterprise accounts), to no avail. Anyone else have any suggestions?
