@missjazeeboo it worked for my other mail acc too but on my main not. Follow these steps guys:

1. First step is to delete your main account, then press Add Account - >Yahoo. Complete that steps even if says service unavailable because you will recieve an email and that's on the step two.

2. Go to your mail by accessing it from pc, mac and you must recieve an email from Yahoo Account Services (Yahoo sign alert).

3. Click on that email and open that blue link named : app-specific password. Log into your email and in that field named Generate app passwords, complete with this: My iPhone mail, click Generate Password and after this it will appear a code like this one : ixnwhxpasdobwcgvor. Save it where it's easier for you and click Ok.

4. Close your mail app from the iphone, go again in Mail, Contacts, Calendars. If your mail is there, delete it and if it's not just go to Add Account - > Yahoo, add your name, username and at password enter that code u saved. Press next and you are done with this.

If this doesen't work, change your email password and do these steps again.

I had the same problem ... my mails periodically refused to load properly on the native iOS mail app.

However I managed to solve it by using / generating an App specific password via the web and by entering the one time unique password it generates into the password field of the Yahoo Mail acct setting on my iPhone (instead of your regular email password to login via web).

And it works like usual.

Try it out!

I have a similar problem. I work for a small company that has Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 set up. After upgrading an iphone 4 to the latest release the mail cannot connect to server. I have tried resetting network settings resetting phone restoring to defaults, deleted the mail account and recreated it, went online to the web account and checked that the number of phone partnership was ok, there was only the one iphone, I also tried deleting it but it still couldn't connect to server, and I checked the inherit from parent objects is checked in the active directory and none of it worked. I am unable to update the exchange server just for one phone so was wondering if there were any other solutions that I could try.

Thank you.

I am not sure where you are seeing the option Change password. I see the option for the password is that what you mean? The password typed in there is correct. I have tried retyping it (when recreating the account) but have not tried typing in an incorrect password (the password is correct because it is the same that is used to log into the computer and that one works and logs in fine). Should i try typing in something random? Or is there some other option to change password I'm not seeing?
