Ipod white screen HELP!

hey i have an ipod touch 4th gen and this morning it went to white screen and i cannot connect to my itunes because it isnt recognizing my ipod for some reason (i am guessing because of the white screen). When i try to reset my Ipod with holding lock and home button it shows me the apple then goes back to white screen. I have never encountered this problem before so I am stuck, and will this possibly result in my ipod being dead and me having to get another one.

This was coused by me trying to update to ios 6 and it just radomly stopped and wen to white screen.

I have just encountered the same issue today while updating my ipod. Nothing seem to be working. I will let the battery drain and see if that helps.

After repairs with apple ypu have 90 hardware warranty or original warranty, whichever is longer.

After hours and hours of trying to fix and reboot my ipod it is finally working!

At one point iTunes even read my ipod but the screen kept showing white and it looked like it would never work. I have finally let the battery completely drain to the point when trying to press the power button it didn't show the low status of battery but was pitch black. Then I just plugged the ipod to the power (not to iTunes) and let it charge a little. Approximately 30 minutes later I have plugged ipod to my computer with the iTunes already on and it rebutted my ipod and its working now. I think that letting it compeletely drain helped to fix my ipod.

I have the same problem too, and im restoring it right now and in the middle of restoring my ipod turned black. I dont know what to do.

I'm currently having the same problem, after reading on a couple forums i found out that I'm not the only one that has this problem, yesterday i tried to update my ipod touch 4g to iOS 6 and it got frozen, and now im stuck on the apple logo and the white screen.

Yeah im having this problem as well, i found out that many people has this problem when they were trying to update to iOS 6, i didnt know i was going to encounter this problem so i tried updating my ipod touch 4g to iOS 6, and now my ipod touch 4g is stuck on the apple logo and white screen
