iPhone 5 wifi issues

Is your device updated to the 6.0.2? Here am still working on 6.0.1 and am afraid to update it to the 6.0.2.

It's still a problem when we don't have access to router setup (e.g. any public or semi-public routers). This needs a fix.

I am in Australia and purchase Model 1429 direct from Apple - same issues as everyone else! Weak wifi, slow download etc.

Thanks, mark_mark896. So you put the files on to dropbox from which machine? And did you then try to download, say, one of the 40MB movies from Dropbox to an iPhone 5 using wifi?

Yeah one of the videos was taken with my wife's ip4. I transferred it with Dropbox to my phone and starred it Nd saved it in my photo library.

I've not had a problem with our iPad minis or iPad 4 or any of our older devices. Only the first ip5. This replacement seems to be working well. I think I got lucky on my replacement.

Guys, one question:

Apart from all the known issues here (WiFi, battery), do you have trouble with the ambient light sensor? It worked only once and never again. Yours too??

Sensor is working fine and smoothly without any problems

Is it still working? Because I've found that a few of these "solutions" work for a little while--sometimes up to an hour--but eventually fail.

That's weird b/c Apple just released a fix for wifi issue for the 5, I have a 5 and it works fine on wifi

What released? Is it iOS 6.02

Yes, Apple released iOS 6.0.2 a few weeks ago for iPad Mini's and iPhone 5's
