iPhone 5 wifi issues
My iPhone 5 connects to wifi networks and remembers them, but receives absolutely zero data through the network. LTE and 3G no problem... Off to the repair shop (after 3 hours of ownership...) or any ideas??
iPhone 5, iOS 6

I meant to say Gbps sorry
Wifi cannot get 20 Gbps speeds. you're reading something wrong.
Sorry it's Mbps you are right ... I'm tired ... Fact is every wifi device I've tested pulled the max wifi speeds my network is offering when my iPhone is only pulling just over half.
Connection Type: WiFi
Server: New York City
Download: 37.72 Mbps
Upload: 8.57 Mbps
Ping Time: 117 ms
6.1 makes my wifi connection fly....
In case helps someone: my iPod Touch 5 had very slow wi-fi speed. Fixed in router settings. In my router control panel (TP-Link), in Wireless Setting, changed "Mode" from 11bgn mixed to 11bg mixed.
iPhone 4 running 6.0.1 and now 6.1 = ok
iPad3 running 6.0.1 and now 6.1 = ok
Just wondering what other tests I can run that show some throughput results, do any of the Podcast apps show a Kbps etc?
br5 - like you, I tried every suggestion, until in willing suspension of disbelief, I simply removed the silicon case (Mercury VA) and full wifi service returned...go figure
Perhaps you should read my post if you are planning on replying to it.
You could not have possibly come to that conclusion if you read my comment.
Mick,
I have same problems. Heading next week to apple store, hope that new iphone5 will not be defective also. IT is definitive a hardware problem, not software
I got mine replaced at Verizon. They brought out a brand new one in the retail box. They just gave me the phone and I kept the original phone's box and charger and earbuds.
Mine is MD664LL/A. I wonder what the difference in the MD vs ND IS?
Btw, Verizon didn't give me any hassle. They said since I pay the monthly insurance on my phone it was no big deal.
Can you tell me after you did a factory- reset how did you put all you info. back? Set up as new iPhone back up from iCloud or you computer.
Contacts, etc. from iCloud, purchases from iTunes, passwords from my password sheet.
A big task of password harvesting and in-app backup/data export (when available) is needed.
