Poor Battery Life iPhone5

I've had my iPhone less than 24 hours and have noticed the battery life is being depleted at a much higher rate than what I consider normal. This morning turned on my phone after turning it OFF last night and connected to the charger all night.

I adjusted some settings to match my iPhone 4 added PW's to some app's. After about 20 minutes of playing with my phone the power level dropped from 100% to 92%...no calls.

Anyone else notice poor battery life issues.........or do you thing that's normal?

I did a deep cycle charge, reset the phone and set it up fresh. (And turned off 4g) And my stand by went from 5% per hour to 1% per hour.

My morning train trip dropped from 20% idle usage to 5% (my iPhone 4 was 10%).

I thought that when I was using it, the percentage was dropping too fast, but if I use your logic of thinking, 8 hours of 3G is about 2% every 10 minutes, under ideal circumstances. And that feels about right. It's just I've been so p###ed about the battery, I was expecting more when it was working again. And I am impressed by he idle draw.

It looks like my battery issues might be over. Pitty I can't use my old backup :-(

Thanks

Jameson it is not about it making a difference in usage. It is a symptom of a bug or of something being wrong. A lot of the other users in this forum are having issues with their batteries being worse than their 4S and 4. In this case it is abnormal for a battery at 1% to last so long when my phone is discharging at 1% per 4 minutes of being on. There is an issue that Apple needs to diagnose and fix.

You would think that a whole bunch of Apple programmers would have been testing this phone for several months before its release and found all these problems with the battery. But then that is just me. I was, before I retired, a system analyst for the United State Air Force and tested many a program before it was ever released for implementation. My *** would have been chewed severly and no telling what else would have happened to my career if I EVER let a program be released that had any errors or flaws in it. But I guess that something for the Department of Defense is a whole lot more important than an iphone for civilians, well it was back when the Department of Defense was considered to be important part of the USA. Now ??????

I have to say that I agree. I think the overall design of Apple products is always amazing, but I think the problem could be from manufacturing due to high demand. Maybe the fact that they need huge numbers for these phones they rush the production causing these problems? Who knows, but either way, Apple needs to reduce these problems.
