I took mine into an Apple Store Genius today as I had tried everything. He acknowledged the pre-testing I had done and offered to do a DFU RESET, which can only be done by them in the store (and complete SW/FIRMWARE redownload and install). We then experimented with this "new SW" iPhone for about 10 minutes. I was browsing, email, Maps and lost about ~5% in 11 minutes. We then also tried doing nothing and left the phone alone and I lost about 1% on "standby" over about 15 minutes (which is still no good as that equals about 1500 minutes of standby for a full charge, which is just over 1 day).
Due to this, he gave me a brand-new phone. Said it should be better, but he has also heard a new SW patch (6.1) rolling out fairly soon to fix some of the overarching issues, kind of like what happened to the 4S with iOS5. So if you are getting frustrated, go see your local Apple Store and be polite and nice and work through it with them.
